The exhibition can be seen in the Ismaning offices from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and by appointment. How to get there ...

Artists
Both painters are graduates of the Munich Academy of Fine Arts and members of Ateliergemeinschaft Mixküche. They always produce their own paints and bind the pigments with binding agents such as egg tempera, oil, resin or acrylics.

Julia Schimtenings was born in Munich in 1975 and completed her academic studies in 2004 with a masters degree under Prof. Sean Scully. Her pictures feature generously composed areas of color and a rich variety of forms. The formats, which seem abstract at first, are reminiscent of aerial photographs, huge earthen structures or floral forms. Her paintings are produced from within themselves and from the characteristics of the materials used and at the same time probe concepts such as landscape painting, abstraction and minimalism.

Anthony Werner was born in 1969 in Oberammergau and completed his academic studies in 2000 with a masters degree under Prof. Jürgen Reipka. In his paintings he considers painting as a seductress, the energy of the paint and its dynamic impact in the space. The powerful, temp and rhythm-based movements of the paint brush and color patterning always remain visible. The contrasting colors collide, climb over each other or envelope each other. From a distance, the shapes that seem to emerge from the pictures are almost like graphically compressed comic cut-outs.
