Mondi Coatings & Consumer Packaging optimises sales control with maihiro


Vienna and Munich, 22 November 2011 - The CRM consultancy maihiro is helping Mondi Coatings & Consumer Packaging establish a sales control system oriented towards customer potential, to be supported through a global CRM solution.

Mondi Coatings & Consumer Packaging is focusing on realising its vision of an even more customer-oriented organisation, in order to increase customer loyalty and better exploit customer potential. For this purpose, the maihiro project team will first support Mondi Coatings & Consumer Packaging in analysing its CRM processes, defining requirements and implementing these in a cross-departmental CRM solution. The new system, to be implemented on an SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) basis, will replace numerous decentralised Excel documents. Simultaneous roll-out is planned for late November 2011 for sales and back office employees in Europe and the USA.

It is a central goal of this project to focus more on the development of customers with considerable potential. The future CRM system will support the company’s sales management in comparing previously achieved revenue per customer with the total potential of a customer on the product level and deriving appropriate measures. It will therefore be possible to control sales activities in a more targeted and proactive manner in the future.

Also new for Mondi Coatings & Consumer Packaging is the detailed, cross-departmental view of all sales opportunities and the entire sales pipeline. In addition, sales employees will be able to prepare for their customer visits more efficiently in future thanks to “customer fact sheets” and they will save time when preparing their visit reports. The central database facilitates the recording of data and access to customer and market relevant information. Duplicates are avoided, maintenance expenses are reduced and the quality of master data is significantly improved. Sales, Marketing and Internal Sales have access to the same documents, which facilitates cross-departmental and international communication and helps to reduce process run times. The integration of the new SAP CRM solution with the existing SAP ERP and business administration system ensures additional data transparency.
