New maihiro groupware solution:
two pilot customers to go live with “maiConnect 1.0” in February

Ismaning near Munich/Vienna, 26 January 2012 – With “maiConnect 1.0”, maihiro has developed a groupware integration solution for SAP CRM, which two internationally operating companies will be piloting from February.

With “maiConnect 1.0”, consultancy firm maihiro has designed and developed an innovative type of groupware integration based on many years of CRM project experience. This product addresses customer-specific requirements that existing groupware solutions currently do not cover. The solution from maihiro allows trouble-free synchronisation of contacts, appointments and tasks between an SAP CRM system and Microsoft Exchange.

“With our innovative maiConnect solution we are responding to a market demand that has not been addressed properly by the existing solutions in this environment,” explains Uwe May, Managing Director of maihiro GmbH.

The special benefits of the new solution include fast installation of the standard maiConnect software, simple infrastructure and minimal demands on the customer’s own IT as a result. Contacts, appointments and tasks are directly updated on smartphones too. There are no logical discontinuities in the administration of appointments. All changes made to appointments are exchanged and full reconciliation is performed with respect to participants who have been added or who have cancelled. The integration of tasks – including deletions and distribution from within the CRM – is unproblematic. Attachments linked to appointments and tasks are included in the synchronisation. In addition, contacts are exchanged in both directions.

The implementation of the maiConnect solution requires Microsoft Exchange from version 2010, but no extra hardware. maiConnect is also independent of any future SAP CRM release changes and guarantees simple fault monitoring with familiar SAP CRM tools (e.g. middleware monitoring). Thanks to the simple infrastructure, there is only minimal initial effort involved for the in-house IT department. The rollout of the solution to all users is performed centrally and therefore requires few resources.

The future version 2.0 of maiConnect will also include the initial creation of contacts, appointments and tasks from within Microsoft Outlook. Further plans include groupware integration with Lotus Notes and the possibility of accessing mobile terminals via the CRM system without CTI integration in order to make telephone calls. There are also plans to provide a facility for projects or opportunities as well as details from marketing campaigns to be displayed and updated in a central Outlook calendar.
