“Employees make donations, maihiro rounds them up” – Christmas giving

For exactly ten years now, the “Employees make donations, maihiro rounds them up” campaign has been running at maihiro every Christmas And, as in previous years, we have once again supported four charity campaigns as well as our long-term project entitled “Kinder in Sicherheit e.V.”.

Donations for charity organizations in Germany

2019’s donations for Germany will go to three institutions of the

Björn Schulz Foundation in Chiemgau, Berlin, and Hamburg

Specifically, to Sonnenhof, a hospice for children, adolescents and young adults; Irmengard Farm, an after-care and recovery house for families with severely and terminally ill children, adolescents and young adults; and the Rosemarie-Fuchs House, which provides psychosocial interventions on the North Sea.

Donation for Austria

In Austria this year, we are considering giving our donation to Kinderhospiz Netz (children’s hospice network). This facility was founded in 2005 and is Vienna’s first children’s hospice.

For the past four years, the association has also been running Austria’s first children’s day hospice. The palliative care team provides care at home as well as at the children’s day hospice in Vienna-Meidling.

Long term Project in Romania

Our long-term project, Kinder in Sicherheit e.V., will also benefit from the donations. Since 2008, we have been supporting the children’s home in Chisineau Cris-Fort, Romania, which was founded sixteen years ago by a social service organization from Bavaria.

This year, the organization is using our donation to fund new playground equipment (swing, jungle gym, sandbox, etc.), replacing the 18-year-old, rusty playground.

All maihiro employees are happy that their individual donations are contributing towards these good and important efforts and wish a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2020!
